About

I’m Koh Hom (Xu Feng), a software engineer currently working on frontend systems.

I care about building reliable software, improving code quality, understanding how systems behave, and using AI to learn and build faster. My background is in frontend engineering, with experience across Shopee, Ant Group, ByteDance, and TikTok.

This site is where I keep my notes on engineering, AI, reading, Buddhism, and the practice of living well. That is why a React performance note can sit next to an AI-agent essay, a SICP reading note, or a reflection on attention. They are all part of the same long-term practice: learning how to build, think, and live with more clarity.

Areas I’m exploring

  • Frontend architecture and performance
  • Testing, reliability, and maintainability
  • AI agents and AI-assisted development
  • Learning systems and mental models
  • Buddhism, attention, and inner practice

Outside work

I like thoughtful books, lifting weights, singing, board games, and a relatively minimal lifestyle. The point is not to optimize every hour. The point is to stay curious without losing the human side of the work.
